USCPA: Providing Value To Its Members

ACTIVITIES

The U.S. Climate Partnership Association (USCPA) is a member-led cross-industry trade association of company environment and energy management professionals dedicated to cost-effective greenhouse gas policies, strategies and performance. USCPA provides a forum for companies to accelerate their knowledge and skill in managing greenhouse gas emissions; network with a broad array of diverse companies; stay abreast of state, federal and international climate activities; and meet with key policy makers. As a result, USCPA is a “learning” organization; a “global information source” and a “public policy issues management resource.”

The U.S. Climate Partnership Association’s (USCPA) vision is to be a recognized leader in helping climate change management professionals effectively manage their greenhouse gas emissions and risk management. USCPA members agree that there are four key activities that should be the focus of the organization.

The four main activities of USCPA include:

• Providing “learning sessions” from a cross-industry perspective on practical issues and steps businesses and individual facilities can take to effectively address their GHG emissions.

• Serving as a key information source to USCPA members through workshops and conference calls as well as providing up-to-date “alerts” on key federal, state and international climate initiatives with a focus on interpreting their practical impacts on industry.

• Maintaining an ongoing dialogue and input to key external stakeholders including the Administration, federal agencies, Congress, the states and other key stakeholders on the challenges and opportunities for business related to climate change.

• Ensuring the USCPA organization is vital by energizing current members and seeking new members that will further the organization’s objectives.
